Pocket Pets, Birds & Exotics

At Western Namoi Veterinary Services, we pride ourselves on providing quality veterinary care to all animals great and small. Rabbits, rodents, ferrets, birds and reptiles are all increasing in popularity as pets, and we are passionate about providing quality veterinary medicine for them.

We recommend annual health checks for all pocket pets, exotics and birds. These are important for the early detection, correction and prevention of problems, and vaccinations where required. 

Routine procedures performed at WNVS include:

• Rabbit desexing
• Ferret desexing
• Trimming rabbit teeth
• Bird beak correction

We can also discuss husbandry, housing, diet and behaviour with you, to equip you with what you need to know to care for your pet.

Our smallest pets can sometimes get themselves into the most serious trouble. Our new radiology equipment allows clear x-rays of even the smallest patient. We also have the ability and equipment to perform soft tissue and bone surgery in those patients that require it.
